AN ECONOMIC AND SUSTAINABLE INTERVENTION
The new skin arises from the initial premise of adjusting the surrounding space to a reduced budget. To do this, a sustainable and economic design is put forward that materializes the interior envelope of the new space: using pine wood slats of standard dimensions. The new design of the children's clothing store proposes a second skin of the tactile, discontinuous and curved for movement, within an existing continuous and orthogonal static skin.
A PERCEPTUAL INVESTIGATION
The proposal is part of the visual and tactile investigation of rhythm in the architectural space. It speaks to us of a journey, of exploring through the skin... Of two ellipses, above, that trace the guidelines of the induced movement. To generate spatial gradients, with the intention of showing the time of each transited slot -the equal widths between vertical slats are deformed with distance and with their turns and folds-, where the peripheral lighting develops the link between the new envelope and the existing one, allowing the children's clothing to be integrated between the two.
