CONCEPT

LIGHT IS COLOR

White or visible light can be broken down into monochromatic lights, as long as it passes through some obstacle that forces the different waves that make up white light to travel at different speeds. This is the concept on which this small building is developed.

DIFFRACTION OF LIGHT

The primitive beam of white light, passing through the windows of this small Pavilion, is transformed into its particular electromagnetic spectrum, where the colored radiations are exposed without interruption, through vertical bands of different wavelengths, forming the protective closure of all the openings made on the enclosure. The frame that surrounds them will be the achromatic background color or black. The mural background will be the interior of the building itself in mauve, symbolizing the union with the spiritual.

ADAPTATION TO THE ENVIRONMENT

The Pavilion arises from the desire to materialize the circulatory flows that develop in the area of approximation to the plot. The proposal is the result of the geometric intersection of the 2 main visual access points to the site.

PERCEPTUAL DYNAMICS

The main white volume rises from the ground on a sunken pedestal to give rise to a gently sloping access ramp. The use of the ramp, together with the inclination of the main cornices of the building –pointing towards the entrance door– are part of one of the main premises of the development of this project: the visual focus towards the main access, providing the set with visual perceptual movement.
