AN URBAN GRANDSTAND |
The roof of the building is transformed into a largeVIEWING PLATFORM, an accessible surface that acts as a genuine urban box seat. It offers a leisurely and contemplative experience of the Palmeral landscape and reinforces the link between public space, architecture and historical heritage. It is not a residual terrace [box], but a civic space of high symbolic and social value.
ICONIC GEOMETRY |
In contrast to the idea of a closed, generic volume [box], the intervention proposes an iconic, recognisable and expressive geometry that turns the building into an architectural landmark visible from a distance and fully integrated into the urban landscape.
VOLUMETRIC DAMPING |
The architectural section of the building creates a careful buffering of scale. The volume gradually descends to adapt to the scale of the Health Centre on its southern façade, ensuring a harmonious transition between the different urban elements until it reaches the Palmeral.
