'Blade Room' is an affectionate reminiscence of one of our artistic references: the legendary film Blade Runner.
MAKING AN ARCHITECTURAL ENVIRONMENT IN MOTION
Starting from the visual structure in nocturnal perspective of a passage-stage, the elements of the composition have been arranged so that they converge in the central background of the image. As a counterpoint, the tactile darkness of the side environment is illuminated through a central vertical column containing different moving figures.
The color palette is taken from the original film –from those sequences where neon lighting and lettering is more palpable– transforming itself in order to obtain an environment of greater saturation and contrast. With the aim of enhancing the tactile perception of visual space, emphasis has been placed on the use of reflections on the wet pavement of the street –an effect that broadens our peripheral vision– and, also, through the incorporation of the space-time factor that we always grant the rain
